Flowers for Algernon is part of Common Grounds Festival, a festival of theatre from 3rd year BA(Hons) Acting and Performance students at University of Huddersfield.
Charlie, born with an unusually low IQ, has been chosen as the perfect subject for an experimental surgery that researchers hope will increase his intelligence-a procedure that has already been highly successful when tested on a lab mouse named Algernon.
The experiment turns him into a genius, however introduces a whole host of new problems into Charlie’s life.
