Young Company Volunteers

We couldn't do what we do without our amazing team of passionate and dedicated volunteers, and we're always on the look out for more fantastic people to join us! Volunteering at the Lawrence Batley Theatre not only helps our theatre to thrive, but is a great way to meet new people, develop new skills, gain experience and become part of our theatre community.

As our Young Company continues to grow, we are looking for a variety of inspiring individuals to support our young people in their weekly classes.

In these voluntary positions, you will be a role model for our young people, supporting the class tutor and assistant with the smooth running of sessions. We require that you would be able to commit to a full term for at least one class. There would also be the possibility to progress from this role to an assistant role.

"I've found Young Company to be an extremely rewarding programme in encouraging confidence and finding joy in self-expression. One of my key takeaways from volunteering so far is realising the importance of each discipline: music, dance, and drama in enabling young people to find their own unique voice." - Previous Young Company volunteer

If you are creative, enthusiastic and have a passion for working with young people, we want to hear from you! Please get in touch with Creative Associate, Keisha Hamilton, via keisha@thelbt.org to arrange an informal chat. Click here to find out more about our Young Company.
