Your visit

Keeping you safe

Keeping our audiences, artists and staff is extremely important to us and we continue to follow the latest Government guidance and safety measures.

Below we have highlighted what you can expect during your visit to the Lawrence Batley Theatre from Mon 19 July - Wed 1 Sep.

Our Staff

Our staff will continue to wear face masks or visors and test regularly.

Advance booking

All tickets will need to be booked in advance of the show that you wish to attend either via our website which is available 24 hours or by calling the box office on 01484 430 528 from 12pm – 2pm on Mondays. We will accept e-tickets or booking confirmations.

If you are just attending The Courtyard for drinks, you can book your table online here. There will be limited space for walk-ups too.

Additional cleaning

Our already high cleaning standards have been enhanced by a cleaning programme designed to clean and sanitise the high touch points within the theatre for staff and public areas.

Hand hygeine

Hand sanitising stations are in place across the Courtyard and building for staff and visitors.

All toilets have been stocked with anti-bacterial hand soap, and stringent hand washing guidelines are in place.

Social distancing

All shows in our 2021 summer season will be presented outdoors in our Courtyard. We ask that customers continue to respect the personal space of customers and staff.

Outdoor shows

Any outdoor shows will go ahead whatever the weather so please bring whatever you may need come rain or shine!

The Courtyard Café-Bar

We are operating table service only – taking your orders and payment via our swanky bar website. You can order when you arrive by clicking here.

Face masks

Although not compulsory, we advise that customers wear masks when inside our building.

Fresh air

We know that any concentration of virus in indoor air can be reduced by bringing fresh outdoor air in to the building so we shall keep doors and windows open front of house where appropriate.

Health assessments

Health assessment will be conducted with all members of staff before returning to work in the building to identify any additional needs as well as ensuring that any appropriate PPE is identified and supplied.
