Getting here

Lawrence Batley Theatre is located on Queen Street in Huddersfield Town Centre. Set back from the street, the main entrance is through the Courtyard.

By car

When arriving into Huddersfield, follow the road signs for the theatre from the ring road.

For parking we recommend the Bus Station or Springwood council run car parks. Allow 15 minutes to walk down to the theatre from these car parks. For up-to-date parking charges and opening times, please click here to visit the Kirklees Council website.

The University of Huddersfield also have a number of car parks open to the public on an evening which are situated within walking distance of the theatre. Click here to find out more.

By public transport

The theatre is a 10-minute walk from Huddersfield Train Station.

It is also a 10-minute walk from the Huddersfield Bus Station to the Lawrence Batley Theatre.

You can find the walking route from both here.

Alternatively, the Free Town Bus stops outside the Lawrence Batley Theatre on Queen Street and runs until 3pm Monday – Friday and 2:50pm on Saturday.
