Cheeley Village Hall has problems: an over-stuffed Saturday schedule, not-so-secret affairs, two twitchy tea ladies - and now, somebody’s lost the key. Can Frances Waring balance the demands of the Highland Dancers with Cheeley Art Circle - and all the other groups vying for hall space? This cosy village’s scandals are about to be calamitously exposed and Frances’s stoic, unyielding organisation might finally fall apart.
