Woodhouse Musical Theatre Company take on this award-winning musical in their brand-new community production. Based on the Miramax motion picture (written by Geoff Deane and Tim Firth), Kinky Boots the musical tells the story of Charlie Price. Having inherited a shoe factory from his father, Charlie forms an unlikely partnership with cabaret performer and drag queen Lola to produce a line of high heeled boots to try and save the business. In the process, Charlie and Lola discover that they are not so different after all.
With music and lyrics by the incredible Cyndi Lauper, this community production promises fabulous sets, costumes and talent to bring sheer joy and euphoria with its energy, humour and emotion.
