As a registered charity, Lawrence Batley Theatre relies on the generous support of donors, businesses and funders to continue to champion outstanding home-grown talent, bring world class shows to Huddersfield and to be a welcoming place for the community.
We are proud to announce the launch of our brand-new Development Committee. The Development Committee will support the work of the charity to bring the magic of theatre to the local community by creating opportunities for financial support from supporters and local businesses.
The committee is composed of local business advocates, industry professionals and passionate volunteers dedicated to keeping the arts alive and thriving in Kirklees.
The committee will focus on a variety of initiatives, including donor campaigns, corporate sponsorship, special events, and grant applications. Supporters can also contribute through direct donations or by signing up to the Lawrence Batley Theatre Membership Scheme.
Each year Lawrence Batley Theatre host over 450 performances, workshops and events. More than 75,000 people enjoy their annual programme both in the theatre and within the community. Over 6,000 local people each year enjoy their creative sessions designed to nurture confidence, promote pride in the community and bring people together.
The Development Committee will be championing the importance of making sure these opportunities continue and develop at the theatre and are inviting anyone interested in supporting the arts to get involved.
Every contribution makes a difference, whether through volunteering at the theatre, booking tickets for a show or making a donation.
