Artist Residency Opportunities

The Lawrence Batley Theatre invites proposals from theatre companies and solo practitioners.

We're offering 10 days on our Main Stage (18 - 27 January) for artists working at the mid-scale (or developing smaller productions for the mid-scale) and 10 days in our Syngenta Cellar Theatre space (1 - 10 February) for artists and companies working on the small scale.

In addition, we can offer the option of an industry sharing to peers and other creatives at the end of the residency, as well as a Creative Surgery session of feedback, support, advice and guidance with LBT Director and Technical Manager giving you the opportunity to explore any assistance you may need in taking "next steps".

Invitations will be accepted from any theatre makers / performers regardless of age or stage in their careers and regardless of discipline or artform.

This opportunity is open to artists from across the entire UK although applications from those based in the North of England are actively encouraged.

Give yourself time and space to develop your performance, work or practice in a supportive environment with exclusive access to space.

To apply, please email programming@thelbt.org.
Include your contact details along with a brief paragraph introducing yourself and your project to us, as well at the key reasons why this opportunity would be beneficial to you.

Please reference your application JANUARY MAINSPACE or FEBRUARY CELLAR.

Closing date of submissions Mon 14th December 9am

Successful applicants will be contacted later the same week.
