Halloween Artist Opportunity

Performance date - Saturday 28 October, 7pm - Late

Huddersfield's biggest Hallowe'en event is resurrected once again: a frightful feast of all things outlandish and macabre with live music, exhibitions, film, magic and performances materialising all over the LBT building, and a chance to party into the small hours with the best-dressed undead this side of the hereafter.

The latest HALLOWE'EN HAPPENING promises to be the most monstrous yet. Join the resident company of spirits roaming the cellars and corridors of our atmospheric Georgian theatre, share Sweeney Todd's pie and pea supper and take in specially-themed performances, films, art and music in a crazy, convivial night to remember.

How to apply

We're looking for performers, visual / digital artists, live artists, poets, musicians and writers whose work and ideas will fit the ethos of the evening - celebrating the macabre, horrific, twisted, or just plain weird & wonderful. This could either be a pre-made act ready to go, or something you're “dying” to try out in front of a ready-made audience.

We're also looking for filmmakers with horror / macabre / genre-appropriate shorts ready to go to be presented throughout the evening in our pop-up cinema space.

Got a proposal? To submit your idea / ideas, please email your name, contact details and a short summary of your proposal (together with a suggestion of spacial and technical requirements) to programming@thelbt.org

Deadline for submissions: 12 noon on Monday 11 September

Selected proposals will be informed by Monday 18 September

Please note this opportunity is unpaid but LBT will cover travel expenses, inclusive supper, a complimentary ticket to the event for a friend, and unrestricted access to the rest of the evening’s offerings, as well as 6 portfolio shots taken by our in-house photographer.
